Short Bio.

Feno Heriniaina has received multiple awards during his student life. He was twice the recipient of the full scholarship for the international students from the Chinese Scholarship Council, in 2009 and 2012 respectively. Feno is also a recipient of the thirty thousand euros grant from CONABEX in 2011 in Madagascar. A lifelong learner and driven by his passion for innovation, he is among the early adopters of online learning as early as in 2011. He never stops learning and values online classes such as the Nano-Degree programs and Specializations related to Deep learning, Machine learning, Data Structures and Algorithm, Data Science, Android Application development, among others. For his pursuit of excellence, he followed and completed courses offered by the University of Michigan, the University of Colorado, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Duke University.

In 2013, he started working as a part-time lecturer at the School of Software Engineering of Chongqing University. During which period, he led and worked on 150 different projects for home automation and the Internet of things connected to Android (e.g., a quadcopter controlled from a mobile device, a car controlled from a handheld device, home appliances controlled over the Internet.

In 2016, Feno Heriniaina received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Computer Science of Chongqing University, where he also ranked number one in the list of the outstanding international graduates of Chongqing University.

The same year, Dr. Feno officially joined the School of Big data and Software Engineering at Chongqing University as a Lecturer.

Dr. Feno vastly engages in the field of education at the international level, including in Madagascar, his place of birth. He pioneered and contributed to the digitization of vocational schools and centers in the capital city of Madagascar. Still, for the cause of a good and affordable education for all, he endeavors in the development of high-quality education for all through the NGO Mpianatra founded in 2016.

In late 2017,  Feno founded and launched the startup company Studio A. in Madagascar. The company's officialization of the paperwork was needed for the valorization of his AI-powered software weekend projects. He named them "weekend projects", as most projects were mainly worked out during late nights and weekends. The company has grown and is now becoming a bridge between the academic research results to the corresponding products as quickly as possible.

In September 2019, Dr. Feno was appointed as an Assistant Professor of the School of big data and Software engineering. After his four years, teaching and working hands-on projects with students, not a few of his students are now pursuing research in the field of data science where others are working as a data engineer, mobile application developer, ...,  in top tech. companies in China  (Tencent, etc.) and abroad.
